Sicily by Car (SBC:IM), an Italian company listed on Euronext Growth Milan and one of the leading operators in the short- and medium-term leisure car rental market, continues its European expansion with the opening of two new operational offices in Spain and Portugal, specifically in Palma de Mallorca and Porto.
Following the recent successful openings in Ibiza and Lisbon Downtown, Sicily by Car reaffirms its commitment to international development and its intent to strengthen its presence in the Iberian Peninsula, which is considered strategic for the company’s sustainable growth.
In June 2025, Sicily by Car will inaugurate two new locations:
Porto Airport – the second-busiest airport in Portugal by passenger traffic (source: ANA – Airport Management Company), with an initial fleet of approximately 250 vehicles.
Palma de Mallorca Airport – the third-busiest airport in Spain (source: AENA – Airport Management Company), with an initial fleet of approximately 400 vehicles.
The fleets at the new locations will include a wide range of vehicles, including 7 and 9 seater models.
A free shuttle service will also be available to transport customers from the airport to the rental offices, which are located close to the terminals.
This dual opening is in continuity with the company’s business strategy, which prioritizes high- tourism destinations capable of accommodating significant visitor flows during the summer season—Sicily by Car’s peak period.
Tommaso Dragotto, President and CEO of Sicily by Car, stated: “With these new openings, Sicily by Car strengthens its position among the leading car rental players in Europe and confirms our steady growth in the international market. We are actively working and will continue to work in the near future on new development opportunities, in line with what has always been our successful business model.”
