Business area

1. How can I get a Business agreement?  

Click on the following LINK and discover all our offer for your business. Choose the proposal best suited to your needs and fill in the request form to be contacted by our staff.

2. How can I get a priority card ?  

The priority card can be requested after a minimum of 10 rentals during the current year. To issue a priority card please send an e-mail to business@sbc.it indicating name, surname, address, tax code and possibly VAT number and client code in order to verify the number of rentals in our systems.

3. Are business agreements for all those who have a VAT number?  

Yes, to subscribe a free agreement you need to forward an e-mail to business@sbc.it, indicating in the object "Business Agreement".

4. What is a promotional code ?  

The promotional code is an alphanumerical code issued by the business office for agreements with Entities, Associations, Companies, etc. This code guarantees a dedicated discount and must be entered while booking in the dedicated field, during the rental and on our website: www.sicilybycar.it

5. What are Sicily by Car offices in Italy ?  

Sicily by Car is widespread all over Italy in all national airports, inside the terminals in most cities, artistic sites and touristic places. Please, visit our website www.sicilybycar.it for a full list.

6. Which cars belong to a specific category?  

Sicily by Car fleet offers a wide choice of vehicles, all freshly registered, divided by categories, diesel and/or petrol, manual or automatic transmission, 9 seater minivans, 100% electric cars. The whole fleet and all the different categories can be checked on our website www.sicilybycar.it

7. Can I rent abroad with Sicily by Car ?  

Yes, through the "SBC Abroad" section visible in the menu and in the top page of our website: www.sicilybycar.it

8. Do I receive any discounts if I prepay the bookings?  

Yes, prepaying on-line gives you the right to have a discount of 10% upon the basic rate, without taxes and VAT, compared to the rates at the desk.

9. Which are the methods of payment accepted by Sicily by Car ?  

To rent with Sicily by Car you must have a Mastercard/Visa/ American Express credit card under th main driver's name. Debit cards are also accepted, but please check the dedicated page "debit card". No cash or cheque payments accepted.

10. Can I rent a car for more than 26 days ?  

After 26 days of rental Sicily by Car suggests a monthly rate or long term solution (12 months or longer). Please check what suits best for you in the homepage.

11. HOW MANY KILOMETERS CAN I MAKE DURING THE RENTAL ?  

It depends on the rental rate you have selected. Rentals up to 26 days have unlimited mileage.For rentals exceeding 27 days and in case of monthly rate rentals the mileage is always limited.For each extra km you will pay an extra cost as per following rental condition.

12. Can I rent a car for a long term ?  

Sicily by Car offers the possibility to rent a car with multi-monthly rate up to 12 months; visit the 'PLURIMENSILE' section on the menu.

13. I lost my password, how can I get it back ?

Customer Service Area

1. When will the deposit be released ?  

If the vehicle is returned full tank and with no damage, the deposit will be unblocked immediately.

2. I got a fine during my rental. What shall I do ?  

We suggest you to pay for it immediately. Only if the Client does not qualify as a consumer pursuant to Art. 3, para. 1, letter a) of Legislative Decree no. 206 of 6 September 2005 (the so-called Consumer Code), he/she will be required to pay a fee of € 50.00 + VAT for additional services relating to fines, tolls, parking and any sanctions or charges imposed by authorities, bodies, concessionaires in relation to the circulation of the vehicle; this fee will be paid by charging the credit card.

3. Who can I contact to get information about SBC or Authority fines

4. What does handling fee mean ?  

It is the expenses that our company paid in order to let the Authorities re-notify the fine under your name and address. The Client shall be notified of all fines and breaches of the Highway Code as well as non-payment of highway tolls and/or parking tickets occurring during the rental period. Furthermore, only if the Client does not qualify as a consumer pursuant to Art. 3, para. 1, letter a) of Legislative Decree no. 206 of 6 September 2005 (the so-called Consumer Code), he/she will be required to pay a fee of € 50.00 + VAT for additional services relating to fines, tolls, parking and any sanctions or charges imposed by authorities, bodies, concessionaires in relation to the circulation of the vehicle; this fee will be paid by charging the credit card

5. I have not received any notification from the Authorities yet. How can I pay for the fine?  

Wait for the re-notification to be forwarded to your address and follow the instructions. For further details please contact the Authority.

6. Is it possible to receive a rental invoice to my e-mail ?  

Yes, it is, but remember to provide with your e-mail address at the collection.

7. I have to rent a car for work. Can the invoice be issued under my company's name ?  

Yes, remember to provide with VAT number and e-mail address at the collection.

8. Will I be charged for one extra day if I return my car late ?  

Remember you have 59 minute tolerance. For further info check our rental conditions

Booking area

1. WHICH DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED TO RENT A VEHICLE ?  

During the collection of the vehicle you have to show:

  • a valid driving license (held for at least 1/3 years depending on the vehicle category. Digital licenses will not be accepted;
  • a valid ID document (Identity Card or Passport;
  • a credit/debit/prepaid card for the security deposit;

2. Can I choose a specific model ?  

We just confirm the category, but not the model.

3. What happens if my flight delays ?  

If you provided with your flight number while booking and a mobile phone number, the representatives and the desk will check your flight and keep the car. In the event of a collection after the closing time the customer must pay an overtime fee. If you did not provide with any flight number and the customer does not inform about the flight delay, the vehicle will be considered free after 2 hours

5. Can I extend my rental ?  

Any rental extension must be managed by the rental office, which will calculate the new cost

6. Can I bring animals on board ?  

No dogs or pets are allowed in a our vehicle, except guide dogs and service dogs

7. What shall I do if I got a fine during my rental and I have already paid for it?  

If the customer gets a fine during his/her rental and pays for it, he/she must leave the receipt at the desk at the drop off of the vehicle
